Embark on an exciting journey to showcase the beauty and adventure of the great outdoors. The Capture the Wild Photo Contest 2025 celebrates the creativity and passion of photographers who bring nature to life through their lens. Whether capturing majestic landscapes, the wonder of wildlife, or the thrill of outdoor activities, this contest offers a platform to share your vision and win exciting prizes.
Categories and Prizes:
1. Landscape - Capture the vast and breathtaking beauty of nature’s scenery,
from sweeping vistas to intimate natural details.
Best in Category: $250.00
2. Wildlife - Showcase the diversity and beauty of animals in their natural habitats, celebrating their unique behaviors and environments.
Best in Category: $250.00
3. Outdoor Activities - Highlight the excitement and spirit of outdoor adventures, from hiking and camping to fishing and other recreational pursuits.
Best in Category: $250.00
Best in Show Award:
The Best in Show Award celebrates the most outstanding photograph across all categories. This award recognizes exceptional creativity, technical excellence, and the ability to captivate and inspire the viewer.
Award: $500.00
Submission Guidelines:
All entries must include the following information:
• Name of the photographer
• Address
• Camera used to take the image
• Email Address or Phone Number
A limited number of entries will be accepted for each category, and entries will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Updates will be posted at:

Entry Requirements:
• No Entry Fee
• All entries will be displayed at the 2025 Sportsman's and Outdoor Recreation Show in Roseburg, Oregon, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
• Entries must be dropped off at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg, Oregon or mailed to: Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 SW Frear Street Roseburg, Oregon 97471
• Print sizes must be between 8x10 to 11x14 inches
• All prints must be matted. Matte board in any color or cut-out style will be accepted.
• Prints in wood, metal, or plastic frames will not be accepted.
• No hooks or hangers are allowed on prints.
Eligibility:
• All photographs must have been taken by the entrant.
• No more than one entry per category
• Each entry must adhere to the category themes: Landscape, Wildlife, or Outdoor Activities.
• Participants of all ages are welcome. Those under 18 can join with parental consent.
• Open to residents of Oregon.
North American Taxidermy is Exposure Show's offical show taxidermist for 2025. Check out their huge display of award-winning mounts.
CNX will be part of the Off-Road Outpost displays in this year's show. Don't miss it!
Deadlines:
• Submissions Accepted: January 2 - February 4, 2025
• Winner Announcement: Wednesday, February 5, 2025
Copyright and Usage Rights:
• Photographers retain full copyright of their images.
• By entering, participants grant the contest organizers a non-exclusive license to use submitted images for promotional purposes, with credit given to the photographer.
Judging Panel:
A panel of professional photographers and outdoor enthusiasts will evaluate entries based on creativity, composition, technical quality, and relevance to the category theme.
Disqualification:
• Entries that do not meet the size, format, or matting requirements may be disqualified.
• Submissions containing offensive, plagiarized, or inappropriate content will be removed from the contest.
• Submissions using editing techniques such as: composite imagery, extensive digital manipulation and images using AI generation.
